OUR HISTORY
Cowboy Coast Saloon and Steakhouse encompasses all of the things we love about a great party: high energy, fresh drinks, games, live music, and authentic, southern-style food. As life-long Marylanders and now Ocean City locals, we wanted our own country saloon and steakhouse on the shore, and we wanted it to feel like home for everyone else who came to join us. We brought in barn wood, corrugated metal, tons of seating, and we created a huge dance floor to accommodate even the most popular line dances. When we realized we needed to brush up on our own dancing skills, we brought in dance instructors. Then there was the music! With a stage built for country music, we reached out to local and national gigs…and they came!
A year after opening our doors, we brought in the food. We took so long because we wanted the kitchen, the atmosphere, and the flavors to be perfect. As chefs and restaurateurs, nothing was more important than feeding a happy crowd with home-grown comfort food. We started with fresh local ingredients, added some talented chefs, created a farm-style dining room with outdoor seating and an open air kitchen, and we got down to business. From award winning Maryland crab soup to 10 hour BBQ pulled pork, we put love into our meats and seafood and enhanced the menu with home-style sides and even grandma’s recipe box desserts.
Before opening the doors we suddenly asked, “what’s a country saloon without animals?” We couldn’t bring in live animals, but we did bring in the Maryland’s largest and most realistic mechanical bull. What else could we ask for? We hope you were thinking the same thing.
